Rehabilitation of Hacienda Estornino
Haciendas are traditional estates dedicated to agriculture, typically of large size. In Lower Andalusia, haciendas and cortijos are spaces that, although they show subtle differences between them, especially in their location, which is more associated with valleys or countryside for each of them, with the progressive decline in the importance of rural life, many of these facilities, some of which are centuries old, have fallen into disrepair.
On this occasion, our work at Hacienda Estornino has focused on the electrical installation, telecommunications, and lighting, in order to make this space more habitable and give it a contemporary touch while preserving its rural and traditional atmosphere.
Spaces with lots of light
We can see in the images that what stands out the most in Hacienda Estornino is the powerful lighting of the rooms, something that is favored by the large windows and white walls.
Hacienda Estornino retains some traditional elements inside, allowing it to maintain that air of historical buildings associated with Andalusian rural architecture.
Many of these buildings, due to the progressive abandonment of traditional ways of life, have been able to transform into event venues, hotels, or rural houses.
With Hacienda Estornino and its rehabilitation, we see a clear example of how good work of this kind can give a second life to this type of building.
